I was so stoked when Isabella and Reece booked me for their autumn wedding at The Woodhouse Wollombi! Its such a stunning venue and one I had not yet had the pleasure of shooting at. When their day rolled around we were greeted with a beautiful clear day, the sun shining through the glorious coloured leaves. Their ceremony was held beside the lake with the most beautiful view. Many tears were shed throughout.
There is such an abundance of incredible locations on site, that I must admit I was overwhelmed with excitement as to what areas I would use for their portraits. So once I had limited myself to a few choices (I had to otherwise I would’ve just kept dragging them around for portraits all day haha) we set off. Isabella’s mantilla veil was just spectacular against the red leaves.
After we finished portraits, we re-joined the guests for cocktail hour. The firepit had been fired up as the temperature was starting to drop, and guests milled around it chatting, laughing and playing jenga. The reception was beautifully styled with long tables and lots of greenery and warm light flickering from the candles. A photographers dream!
We finished off the night with a good old champagne pop outside as the thick fog rolled in and blanketed the countryside. What a spectacular day it was! Thank you both so much for having me there to share it with you!
