Circa 1876 Wedding ~ Amanda & Jo

Amanda & Jo’s wedding! Wow what a day! It was so overflowing with love and passion I just couldn’t wipe the cheesy lame grin off my face. And what a dream these guys were to shoot!

Their wedding was held on a warm Thursday in February at the always beautiful, Circa 1876. The girls both got ready at Peppers Convent where I darted between the two rooms to capture every moment for them of their prep. Their beautiful daughters were such fun to work with as well, and I got plenty of laughs out of them discussing the very important subject of unicorn farts. Once both Amanda and Jo were dressed and ready to go, we got set up ready on the verandah to do a heart felt first look. Amanda made her way down the beautiful staircase and out onto the verandah where she tapped Jo on the shoulder. When Jo turned around, her smile lit up the whole world when she saw her beautiful wife to be. I know I had to contain a little tear at this moment.

After a bit of time checking each other out and lots of hugs, we set off to do some pre-ceremony portraits around the Convent. It was so hot by this stage, so we had to dart in and out of the shade where we could. The ceremony was held on the lawn at Circa and was so full of beautiful moments I thought my heart would explode! Although I did make somewhat of a silly mistake mid ceremony of sitting on the pavers… not the best idea on a 43 degree day!

After the ceremony we did a few family photos and then set off around the property for some more beautiful sun-drenched portraits. The reception was full of many laughs and many cheers and he first dance was the most moving, passionate moment of the day. Even when editing back in the studio, I was still finding myself welling up at the photos. The dance floor was so much fun, everyone was having a ball, especially Amanda and Jo’s gorgeous girls, who were twirling and jumping and putting their dresses over their heads to be ghosts.

What an absolutely incredible day! I wish I could do it all again with you both! Thank you for having me there to share the day with you! <3
