Happy New Year Everyone!
What a year 2017 was! This year saw me getting to celebrate with so many families for so many incredible occasions! My year involved a lot of weddings, portraits, births, newborns and even a few commercial jobs thrown in. It saw me shooting in some pretty incredible locations, having lots of belly laughs and my face hurting so much while I’m editing reliving so any awesome memories through the photos.
This year I helped plan as well as shoot a wedding for a beautiful couple from Japan, who travelled over to Australia to get married. I was lucky enough to work with them in Tokyo a few years ago, so was beyond excited when they asked me to help plan their wedding. I both shot and bridesmaid-ed one of my best friends weddings in November. I photographed another best friends new bub. And I photographed so many couples and families that I now consider to be my friends! It saw me gaining silver awards at the Australian Professional Photography Awards, judging birth and wedding category at the NSW AIPP State Professional Photography Awards and winning ABIA NSW Wedding Photographer of the Year (all while dressed in a wedding gown)! It was the year we saw our country decided that marriage equality was well overdue! What a year it has been!
It was so hard to choose my favourite images this year, as there was honestly so many… and truth be told, I’m sure I have missed a whole heap of favourites! But here is a few (maybe more than a few) of my favourite moments from various shoots this year!
