Albion Farm Wedding ~ Megan + Damien

1 February, 2018 | Wedding

Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore shooting at Albion Farm! So needless to say, I was stoked when Megan and Damien told me they were getting married there! Their day was a relaxed, intimate wedding with their nearest and dearest. Even the gale force winds we had on the day did not stop these newly weds from giggling and having a blast all day!

The morning started with me at Albion Cottage with the girls getting ready. The temperate was just perfect, so hair and makeup was being done outside on the verandah. A single magpie had sat all morning warbling away in the tree right next to us, watching over all the proceedings. As the guests started to roll in, a nervous Megan peered out through the blinds to catch a sneaky glimpse of her groom.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful restored barn with candles adorning the chandeleirs. Damien nervously waited for his bride, and more than a few tears were shed as he watched his daughter, and his bride walk towards him down the aisle. The ceremony was short and heartfelt, with many tears and smiles. After the ceremony, guests mingled outside and said their congratulations whilst nibbling some yummy foods. About here the wind started to pick up (and I was ever so thankful I had chosen to wear bike shorts under my dress haha!). We set off into the gardens for photos. And as always, the spectacular grounds of Albion and Gracemere delivered the goods! Everything was in bloom and the light streaming through the trees was just divine! We had planned on using the little timber boat for a few photos as I’ve done in the past, but as it had been raining earlier in the week, it was a bit damp inside, so we strategically placed it on the edge of the water for a few sneaky shots.

As the sun started to set, we made our way to Hinton for the reception, which was to be a casual affair held in the garden at Hinton Pub. But not before we got a few sneaky sunset shots on the bridge! By now, the wind had picked up a bit more and guests huddled together, eating, drinking and creating amazing memories!

Thank you both for having me to share in such a beautiful, relaxed day. It was just awesome!
