On a beautiful sunny morning in September, I made my way to a property in Farley to photograph a beautiful bride getting ready. Danielle was getting ready at her parents house and it was such an awesome to shoot in, with big archways and exposed brick! There was a slight nervous energy about the morning, but the smiles and giggles prevailed as the big event got closer! The girls all piled into the immaculate Reo Flying Cloud cars which were provided by Danielle’s parents who are the owners of Exclusive Vintage Wedding Cars.
The ceremony was held in the always breathtaking barn at Albion Farm. It had been beautifully decorated with lavender and tall candelabras with draping vines. After the ceremony, the guests all gathered outside for a relaxed lunch reception provided by a quirky food truck. And the food was divine, everything from fish tacos, the cheeseburger sliders and satay skewers. Everyone well and truly had their fill of yummy foods. The celebration was then briefly moved inside the barn so Danielle and Luke could cut their cake and say some thank you’s to all their guests and family.
After all the food had been eaten and the numbers of guests started to dwindle down, the couple and their family and bridal party set off to a beautiful blessed bridge in the gardens to have a second smaller ceremony and blessing done. They stood, hands clasped on the sun drenched bridged as a few more blessings were laid upon them by their priest. At the conclusion of the blessing ceremony we set off into the gardens to create some magic before the sun completely disappeared from the sky.
And what amazing light did we get. Its no surprise to anyone that knows my work, that I adore hazy golden light, and that afternoon we were given and abundance of it! What and awesome day it was!
